Graduate Student Mock Interview Day - Friday, March 8, 2024 (Virtual)

This Event is for Graduate Students at Miami University who wish to practice interviewing to prepare for job opportunities.

Practice your behavioral-based interviewing skills and receive invaluable feedback in a 60-minute Mock Interview offered through the Mock Interview Program.

To participate:

Step 1: Upload your resume to Handshake (see instructions below)

Step 2: Register for the Mock Interview Day through this Registration LINK

Step 3: Select your Interview Time Slot (see below instructions)

60-minute mock interview sessions are offered between 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. 

Step 4: Mark your calendar

Step 5: Dress in professional attire, be on time, bring a notebook and your resume to the interview.  

Apply by 2024-03-03 11:59 pm 

READ before applying:

Step A: Check your calendar for the times when you are FREE.

Step B: Upload a resume:

1. Log into Handshake.
2. Click on your Handshake profile icon in the upper-right corner.
3. Select documents and follow the prompts.
4. If needed, review resume resources.

Step C: Register and select a time slot:

1. After you apply with your resume, register through the Mock Interview Day registration link.
2. Log into Handshake.
3. Click on your Handshake profile icon in the upper-right corner.
4. Select “My Jobs,” then, from the listed options, click on the title that starts with the word “Interview…”
5. Once the Interview Schedule page opens, scroll down and select the desired interview Time Slot.

Step D: MARK YOUR CALENDAR for the date and time you selected.

Step E: Make sure to cancel your mock interview, if your schedule changes, through Handshake up until 2024-03-03 11:59 pm without penalty.  

1. Log into Handshake.
2. Click on your Handshake profile icon in the upper-right corner.
3. Select “My Jobs,” then, from the listed options, click on the title that starts with the word “Interview…”
4. Once the Interview Schedule page opens, scroll down and remove your Time Slot.

You can also withdraw your application from the event by selecting “My Jobs” and clicking on the title that starts with the word “JOB…” 

Be advised that the Career Center’s No-Show/Late Cancelation Interview Policy applies to all Mock Interview Days.

Learn and practice with Big Interview (click "Register" (button in the upper right corner), select Miami University, enter your Miami email, and follow the prompts).
