About the Finance and Accounting Intern Program
 
The company is looking for talented leaders to significantly strengthen its global leadership depth and play an integral role in the current and future success of the organization. Students entering the Finance & Accounting Internship Program will be provided with a meaningful and challenging eight- to twelve-week assignment at our corporate headquarters in Akron, Ohio. Potential assignments will be in the areas of Financial Planning and Analysis, Accounting, Auditing, Treasury, Tax, or Business Development. The Finance & Accounting Intern Program is an entrance point into a post-graduate, full-time opportunity within Goodyear Finance in North America for students successfully completing the program.
 
In addition to challenging, engaging, and interesting work assignments, interns have the opportunity to meet and interact with other Finance/Accounting interns, as well as interns in other functional areas and from different schools. Educational and social events are coordinated for during and after work hours to help interns learn more about Goodyear. Several Goodyear leaders present various topics to help interns begin to think about significant business issues and their career options. Interns even have the opportunity to speak with the Goodyear Senior Leadership Team.
 
 
Requirements
  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • Minimum 3.0 overall GPA required
  • Leadership experience in extracurricular activities
  • Demonstrated leadership and growth potential
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical and data management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
 
Ideal Candidates
  • Internship experience preferred
  • Value and appreciate diversity
  • Are interested in global experiences
  • Are capable of interacting with all organization levels, ranging from entry-level associates to Goodyear’s senior management
