DEI Intern

Position Summary:
This internship role is primarily responsible for providing support to the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Learning and Organization Effectiveness Director. This role will assist with providing support to Employee Resource Groups, help coordinate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion education across TreeHouse Foods including training logistics, and development of materials, build a calendar of social media campaigns and draft content regarding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, as well as help coordinate Affirmative Action Planning Training, and special projects related to DEI.

Position Responsibilities:
·        Provide knowledge, insights, external content, and perspective to Employee Resource Group leaders regarding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion best practices. Participate in ERG meetings and help coordinate events. 
·        Own the training logistics and coordination of deploying DEI education for Corporate people managers. This includes developing training content, calendar of events, logistics, and coordination of training facilitators. Track training completions and provide reports to leadership on compliance.
·        Partner with internal stakeholders and the Director, DEI to develop a content calendar related to DEI social media posts. Develop communications and support campaigns. Ensure social media posts follow appropriate approval process and post material on social media channels. Develop reports to track interactions on posts.
·        Partner with HR and external legal counsel to help develop Affirmative Action Planning training, process to share best practices, and drive continuous improvements in AAP process. 
·        Build strong relationships across the HR function, sharing best practices to help further the DEI capability and respective campaigns
·        Provide support in developing training courses and other special projects related to DEI Learning and Development. 
 
Skills and Experience:
·        Knowledge of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
·        Knowledge of Learning and Instructional Design
·        Effective and deliberate communication skills, both verbal and written
·        Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
·        Ability to effectively multi-task with a strong sense of urgency
·        Ability to develop strong consulting relationships and influence business leaders through coaching and partnership
·        Highly motivated, energetic, hands-on
 
Minimum Requirements:
 
·        Current enrollment at a Master’s degree graduate institution with a record of strong academic performance.
