Industry Credential Data Intern

What can you do for the boys and girls of Ohio? At the Ohio Department of Education, you can play an important
role in the lives of Ohio’s students every day. The Office of Career-Technical Education (CTE) is seeking an intern to assist with research and data analysis related to the career readiness of Ohio’s students.
 

Major Responsibilities & Duties:

·      Works with Office of CTE to complete research and analysis of industry credentials
·      Creates and manages data files using Microsoft Excel
·      Establishes a process and tracking mechanism to engage business and industry partners with the Office of CTE
·      Creates and summarizes results from stakeholder engagement surveys
·      Presents research results in written and graphical formats
·      Prepares presentations for stakeholder engagement
·      Communicates relevant and accurate information, clearly and concisely during formal or informal meetings
·      Collaborates with others to accomplish goals
·      Uses various tools and technology to prepare and share documents/reports
·      Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

·      Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program


Desired Qualifications:

·      Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
·      Strong interpersonal skills; desire to work as part of a team and interact with the education community.
·      Interested in education policy and research
·      Experience working in a professional environment


Additional Information:

·      This position is located in Columbus, Ohio and compensation is $14.72 hourly for undergraduate students and $17.91 hourly for graduate students.
·      The final candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check as well as other investigative reviews. Criminal convictions do not necessarily preclude an applicant from consideration for a position, unless restricted under state or federal law or federal restrictions. An individual assessment of an applicant's prior criminal convictions will be made before excluding an applicant from consideration.
