Analyst Rotational Program

The Role.

Consumer behavior is noisy and difficult to interpret. More often than not, this difficulty leads to treating consumer preferences as a black box - unintelligible to all but a handful of visionaries who “know” what customers want.

At Root, we don’t believe in black magic. We do, however, believe in leveraging structured thinking and constant iteration to create products that customers love.

Our Analyst Rotational Program is a unique experience for future leaders to quickly learn the ins and outs of our business. Over 12 months, you'll collaborate with three distinct analytics teams spanning the most high-impact areas of the business (Pricing, Compliance, Marketing, Strategic Analytics, and Data Visualization). Upon completion of your rotation, you'll be placed onto one of these teams full-time. Additionally, you’ll attend workshops hosted by more senior analysts to teach you about other important metrics and areas of the business (ex. Claims, Retention, Brand, etc.).

As an Analyst at Root, you will be an advocate for informed, data-driven decision-making. You’ll partner directly with Product, Marketing and Data Managers and other stakeholders to define high-level metrics and ensure that all initiatives will move those metrics. In this role, you'll utilize your advanced analytics skills to create compelling stories, drive strategies, uncover new opportunities, and provide recommendations required to improve Root’s insurance and growth operations.
