Finance Intern (Wealth Management) - Summer 2021

Due to recent acquisitions and rapid growth, Marcum Wealth is currently searching for a dynamic, detail oriented Intern to join us in our Mayfield Village office.

The Position:
Interns who work for Marcum Wealth will gain valuable experience by assisting the professional staff on a variety of engagements. The job is both challenging and rewarding. With training and supervision, individuals at this level can assume many of the responsibilities of staff members while gaining valuable work experience. 

Here’s what you can expect to do:
  • Become familiar with Firm policies and procedures.
  • Assist the research department with portfolio manager due diligence and ongoing search and selection of portfolio managers.
  • Assist in the data reconciliation and security classification procedures, portfolio reconciliation and other data management responsibilities of the firm.
  • Obtain a working knowledge of Firm technology, including the use of electronic tools, email and the Internet, as well as the use of the Firm’s spreadsheet, word processing, portfolio accounting and investment manager analytic tools.
  • Become an asset to the Firm through civic and community activities.
  • Participate on special projects and teams as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Full-time student enrolled in a university/college program leading to an undergraduate or graduate degree in finance or economics.
  • Preferably a 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, high level of enthusiasm, integrity and professionalism.
  • Tactful, mature and flexible.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments, prioritize tasks and finalize projects.
  • Ability to follow instructions, respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance.
  • Ability to get along well with diverse personalities.
  • Comfortable working with data.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Consistently report to work on time; reliable and dependable.
