IT Cyber Security & Asset Management Intern

Summary

This internship offers the opportunity to learn best practices in Cyber Security, as well as the ability to learn new software and tools that enable the efforts of IT Asset Management (ITAM), Cyber Security & IT Compliance efforts. Ideally, this candidate will be available to start in some capacity prior to the summer.

Responsibilities

-Learn the processes, procedures, and tools integral to IT asset management, cyber security, and IT compliance
-Gain experience in compliance reporting, comparing data, identifying variances, and working with a team to mitigate those findings. 
-Add, modify, and document access rules using access management tools
-Learn standard asset management lifecycles
-Participate in the PC Refresh program & disposal procedures
-Re-Image PC’s
-Replace PC’s with new equipment
-Update AD & Asset Management tool
-Disable & move computers in Active Directory
-Perform PC recovery
-Be responsible for Shipping & Receiving assets
-Learn Software Asset management, which includes scanning contracts into OnBase tool and proper management of information

Desired Skills & Experience

•Working knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft tools such as Excel
•Detail oriented and organized
•Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed
•Strong time management skills
•Ability to follow processes & procedures & recommend improvements
•Excellent customer service and personal relationship qualities
•Good problem resolution, analytical and decision-making skills
•Strong communication skills
